So instead of a Tablet we get a Pad.
I gotta say I was excited when I saw Steve Jobs holding this beautifully designed yet horribly named device. Slowly my excitement began to diminish as i saw that this device is not the artist’s digital sketchbook i so hoped it would be. after 2 weeks of thinking it over, I will go to the Apple store and play with it just to confirm what I believe to be is true. Apple has made the move form a computer company to a consumer electronics company. This is good news for the consumer. However for the creators of content and multimedia, Apple seems to be leaving us behind more and more with each new device. Hey Steve! Can a brotha get a Macbook Touch or dare i say an iPad Pro?
It looks like Axiotron dodged a bullet. They have what we artists are looking for. I hope they show at Macworld this year something new and exciting. Help us Axiotron. you are our new hope.

I Want MY Tablet! will it be today?
In less than an hour Apple is going to make an announcement. The rumor mill has churned a single thread: TABLET. Many believe this is a game changer for publishing ebooks and content consumption. But the dream for artists is more along the lines of a digital sketchbook. My hope is that Apple remembers their roots. Their devices have been loved and even worshiped by artists from the beginning. The idea of a tablet device speaks to the heart of an artist’s core desire. When the allusive woman we call inspiration strikes, we need a tool to capture her where ever we are if only for a moment.
